Much fun was had at the Claydon House campagne reception and piano recital. On a glowing summer’s evening last July, with a glass of champagne in one hand and a canapé in the other, 120 elegant guests strolled in the private gardens of Claydon House.
Thanks to the generosity of Sir Edmund and Lady Verney, BACAB’s guests received a warm welcome to Claydon. Thanks also are due to the National Trust who granted access to the main house and the Music Room, where Craig Greene gave a wonderful piano recital, playing pieces by Chopin and Brahms.
Among the guests were many long term supporters of BACAB, including the Lord Lieutenant and Lady Aubrey-Fletcher and our President, the Countess of Buckingham.
The event raised almost £10,000. We would like to express our gratitude to High Sheriff James Naylor for lending his name; to the Carriage House Restaurant for opening its doors after the concert for a marvellous dinner.
Thank you so much to all of you who attended and showed such wonderful support.
